Heart-to-Heart Thai Silver & Hematite Necklace - NEW

This necklace is comprised of a continuous strand of hearts in hematite with three hand-crafted pure silver hearts from Thailand as accents. The design on the silver hearts is circles within a lattice, so it almost looks like O's and X's (you know, for hugs and kisses! :o) So if continuous hugs and kisses sound good, this may be the necklace for you! Rock Crystal Quartz, African Turquoise and Vintage Indian Tribal Silver Necklace

This necklace is formidable (but more like in the French sense of "great"). Though we all know that wearing 414 carats of faceted quartz with 122 carats of African turquoise is not for the shy. I pulled out the stops with this one. Dividing the quartz from the turquoise are two spectacular tribal silver pieces from India. Their vintage patina is echoed in the visual texture of the turquoise. Generous amounts of hand-crafted Balinese silver are used throughout. The native-cut quartz beads have constellations of inclusions in them. The combination makes this piece look fit for a shaman. Rose Quartz & Balinese Silver Necklace

Pretty in pink. Rose quartz is a pale shade of blush, which, if I may speak candidly, can oftentimes get lost on any but the lightest or darkest shades of skin -- unless of course, you've got 560 carats of faceted stones, and glorious unrestrained amounts of hand-crafted Balinese silver! (You know I'd never let you be bland... :-) These stones are actually two different shades of pink. The larger stones are clearer, but their size and sparkle allow them to shine, while the smaller stones are pinker, and a bit more opaque, which allows them to hold their own. Nepalese Brass & Grey Chalcedony Necklace - SOLD

I love grey. I find it so flattering, and it really does go with so many different colors, and other neutrals, too. It also really lets these exceptionally beautiful Nepalese brass beads shine. Each one is hand-crafted using the techniques of chasing and repoussé with tiny little tools and deft hands. Really wonderful. Nepalese Brass Elephant with Coral & Tigereye Necklace

Coral has been highly prized by the peoples of the Himalayas for centuries. Marco Polo noted how it was used as currency, and it is not unusual to see extraordinarily LARGE pieces of coral being worn with traditional dress to this day. This handcrafted brass elephant is paired with 267 carats of tigereye, coral, and black chalcedony beads. The brass accent beads feature the double fish, one of the eight auspicious symbols of Buddhism. They symbolize liberation and joy. Curious how both Hindus and Buddhists see elephants as removers of obstacles. Buddhists through the taming of the mind, and Hindus through their elephant-headed god, Ganesha. With the bright coral and golden tigereye, this necklace is definitely a powerhouse. All of the brass elements are handcrafted by very skilled artists (many of them Tibetan refugees), and I'm so happy to support their work. Amethyst & Smokey Quartz 41" Necklace - SPECIAL ORDER

Did you know that amethyst is a variety of quartz? It's true, so I was very pleased when I saw how seamlessly these various shades of amethyst blended with the smokey quartz. This necklace is a hybrid of a two best-selling designs. It's the lovechild of the Naledi ("Star") and the Quatrefoil necklaces. And like its parents, it can be worn long, or doubled with the removable "S" hook that keeps the shorter strand from getting shorter - so clever! It has 156 carats of amethyst, 45 carats of smokey quartz, and an assortment of Balinese silver accents (including the quatrefoil that the clasp hooks into - photos below). Red Aventurine & Balinese Silver Necklace - SPECIAL ORDER

Oftentimes when I design, it's an idea from an idea from an idea. Such is the case with this necklace. When I purchased these gemstones, I really liked how they looked with the prehnite and yellow moss agate in the necklace above, but it didn't feel right to add these to that design, so I was led to creating a layering piece. Needless to say, I think they look great together (and they also do quite well on their own :-) This necklace has 33 carats of faceted red aventurine framed by handmade Balinese silver accents, a pretty rectangular-link oxidized silver chain, and small hematite accents used throughout. The gemstone color is actually much more of a pumpkin shade of orange rather than a "red," but that's what the stone was named. The necklace adjusts to up to 18" long with hook clasp. (N329) $185

Sagenetic Quartz & Thai Silver Necklace - SPECIAL ORDER

Sagenetic quartz has naturally occurring "needles" that have been encased in quartz quite beautifully by Mother Nature. Each bead is its own little marvel -- totaling 346 carats of marvelousness. The Thai silver beads have a geometric pattern that relates so well to the naturally occurring angles of the needles that I couldn't resist putting them together. Faceted black chalcedony, Balinese silver, and tiny hematite beads all add to the texture of this piece. There is a black chalcedony charm next to toggle clasp for added interest. Opalite Agate "Cardamom" Tribal Silver Necklace - SPECIAL ORDER

Maybe I should have just named this the "Goa Necklace," because it looks like where India meets the sea. It has a really beach-y feel. Five old tribal silver pieces from India vaguely shaped like cardamom seeds are paired with 98 carats of mixed chalcedony of clear and white. This stone was labelled "Opalite Agate," but is not related to opalite glass in any other way than it also seems to "hold" light the way opal can. Balinese silver accents are used throughout, and there is a small agate charm by the toggle clasp. "Classic Primitive" would be a great description for this necklace. Balinese Companion Necklace

As I'm sure you can tell, I'm a "more is more" kinda gal. I'm ALL about layering, and I really like having shorter station necklaces to add to the mix. I've finally designed one myself instead of going with a store-bought version. (Though one of things I enjoy about my jewelry is how well it plays with others :-) Should you find yourself without one of these go-to layering pieces, I hope you'll consider this one as a "companion" to your other jewelry for a bit of Bohemian flair. I think you'll be surprised how well it goes with everything. It has five hand-crafted Balinese beads spaced along the front. This one is very bright, because it was photographed it right after it was made, but I think it will look even better once it has a chance for its patina to mature. Carnelian & Garnet Tribal Silver Necklace
