Silver Spiral Necklaces

I so loved the 14K and 18K gold 7th Heaven necklaces that I now have a collection of three different kinds of silver spirals. I acquired enough pieces to create a few necklaces, and some earrings, too. Pearl Thai Silver Spiral Necklace - BACK IN STOCK

An instant classic. I am so in love with spirals. They just do "it" for me, and thank goodness you all love them, too. The first necklace I made like this sold immediately. I made this one slightly shorter, and used a different toggle clasp. You just won't believe how good this necklace looks on. Quite dramatic - plus, because the spirals are pure silver, they are ever-so-slightly heavier than sterling, so it's got this heft that makes it feel deliciously substantial. You'll love it. Amethyst Thai Silver Spiral Necklace

These 119 carats of faceted amethyst are in a truly regal color. Not too light, and not too dark, and they have a wonderful intensity. The simplicity of the spirals is given a bit more detail by the granulated Balinese sterling silver accents used throughout. The spirals themselves are contemporary, and crafted in 99.9% pure silver. Balinese Silver Spiral Necklace with Multi-colored Gemstones - SPECIAL ORDER

What's not to love about this sparkly assortment of 30 carats of faceted gems? The colors graduate from dark to light giving this piece a really delicious ombré effect. There's a cute garnet charm by the spiral clasp, and more granulated Balinese silver is used throughout the necklace as accents. Garnet Vintage Thai Silver Spiral Necklace - SPECIAL ORDER

These vintage spirals were purchased in Chiang Mai about 30 years ago, and are 99.9% pure silver. Each one is a little different. There are 87 carats of very liquid-looking garnets. Those in the trade would call them "gem-y," which doesn't sound very technical, but it does convey their appearance. I've sprinkled through some sterling accents, and a pretty Balinese silver spiral clasp. Matching earrings are available below, or on page 1 of the Earrings section. 19" long. Green Garnet 5-Spiral Thai Silver Necklace - SOLD

Wow. I scarcely know where to start my love letter to this necklace. We'll start with the spirals. These were purchased in Chiang Mai, Thailand about thirty years ago, making them truly vintage. The beauty of silver is that it's so forgiving, and in little time, I had their spiral faces gleaming once more. It is a surprise to many (I know it was for me) to learn that garnet also occurs in shades of green. This is the grossularite variety, and the orange-y stones have their own name, hessonite. This is a particularly lovely mix of greens that will have you dreaming of fern gardens, or something equally luscious and verdant. There are 51 carats of these faceted natural wonders, including the dark green garnet charm next to the toggle clasp. There are silver bead accents throughout to add a touch more sparkle. Though this necklace has sold, a special order with a similar gemstone may be possible. 17.25" long. (N330, 11/21) $250

Chrysoprase Thai Silver 7th Heaven Necklace - SPECIAL ORDER

This variety of chrysoprase recently appeared on the market, and I'm really taken by it's pretty turquoise color. These 42 carats of faceted gems have a greater opacity than typical chrysoprase, and I also believe that they will be more durable than turquoise. The vintage Thai silver spirals are wonderful. There is a faceted quartz charm next to the sterling toggle clasp, and argentium sterling accent beads used throughout. Argentium is a more tarnish resistant sterling silver that is 93.5 percent pure silver. Matching spiral earrings are available below and on page 1 of the Earrings section. 18.5" long. These 42 carats of faceted gems have a greater opacity than typical chrysoprase, and I also believe that they will be more durable than turquoise. The vintage Thai silver spirals are wonderful. There is a faceted quartz charm next to the sterling toggle clasp, and argentium sterling accent beads used throughout. A piece Cleopatra herself would have admired, I'm sure. Vintage Thai silver spirals and 36 carats of smooth-cut turquoise create just a bit of drama. The turquoise beads are arranged in groups of seven to echo the seven spirals. Argentium sterling silver beads are used between the turquoise beads as they resist tarnishing -- all the better to keep you dazzling, m'dear. ;-) There is a faceted smokey quartz and turquoise charm by the spiral hook clasp.
